A little bit about K.Yellow Photography…
K. Yellow runs workshops that use the language of photography to bring people together and create wonderful experiences!
Taking place in Santorini , each workshop is set against a backdrop of stunning natural and urban landscapes, with routes designed for you to explore the beauty of the location through your camera.
It’s not about classrooms, fancy gear or camera settings. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an experienced snapper or someone picking up a camera for the first time. You bring a love of outdoor photography, I’ll take care of the rest!
A little bit about me...
You know how some kids just know exactly what they want to do when they grow up?
That wasn’t me.
I had no idea I even liked photography until I picked up my first camera in 2008. But when I did, it was GAME ON.
I fell in love instantly. So much so that I decided there and then — still holding that camera for the first time — that I was going to be a professional photographer.
Fast forward to now and I’m a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Leica Academy Creative Photography in Athens and — since 2015 — the owner of a boutique workshop company teaching you how to create compositions and develop your own style of photography.
It wasn’t a passing fad, y’all. :-)
In fact, I love photography more now than I did then. Which is why you’ll see me all excited when we see something beautiful to shoot during a workshop.
Oh, by the way, I’m Konstantina. The K in K. Yellow Photography. Nice to see you here!
About the name...
I’m the K in K. Yellow, but the Yellow isn’t another person. It’s not my surname either (although that would be AWESOME).
Yellow comes from… Yellow, the colour. My favourite colour. I thought about going with my full name — Konstantina Sidiropoulou Photography — but it didn’t quite roll off the tongue.
I thought about Kos but… well, it was boring.
Then came a photo of me on a shoot in a yellow shirt and yellow shoes and a joke suggestion from a friend… “you should call yourself K.Yellow.”
And at that moment, a brand was born.
Because what’s not to love about yellow?
Something else you should know…
As well as being a photographer, I’m also enologist. Which means I have a degree in the study of wines and winemaking.
Why is this important? Because Santorini happens to have some of the finest vineyards in the world. And one of the workshops might* involve a spot of wine tasting. *It does.
P.S Konstantina Sidiropoulou (born 1988) is a Greek photographer based on Santorini, Greece.
